What you get
- A Sun timeline for golden and blue hour. For any day, see exactly when golden hour, blue hour, and civil, nautical, and astronomical twilight begin and end — morning and evening — alongside sunrise, sunset, and the day’s length.
- A moon-phase calendar that filters for shootable nights. Tap Milky Way nights and the calendar highlights the evenings when the galactic core is up in a truly dark sky with little moonlight to wash it out — so you can spot the best nights of the month at a glance.
- A nightly timeline. For any night, see moonrise and moonset alongside exactly when the galactic core becomes visible and when it sets — interleaved in one chronological list.
- A sky-events calendar for meteor showers, eclipses, and sun, moon & planet milestones. Open Sky events to see the year’s major meteor showers, solar and lunar eclipses, the equinoxes and solstices, lunar milestones (supermoons, micromoons, blue moons, and black moons), and planetary events — oppositions, when a planet is at its brightest and up all night, close conjunctions like Venus beside Jupiter, multi-planet parades, close Moon–planet gatherings, and lunar occultations — when the Moon passes in front of a planet and briefly hides it — listed on the day they peak. Tap an event to read its details — peak time, a meteor shower’s rate and radiant, an eclipse’s type and magnitude, a full moon’s moonrise and moonset for your location, or what to look for in a planetary pairing or gathering — and whether it’s visible from where you are. For an occultation, that includes the regions it’s seen from, since the Moon only covers the planet along a narrow path — elsewhere it’s a close pairing. An event you can’t see is still listed, so you always know it’s happening. Start a shoot plan for any event in a tap.

Times match where you are
Open the almanac from anywhere and it uses your current location and its local time. Open it from one of your saved spots and it switches to that spot’s location and timezone — so the times are always right for where you’ll actually shoot.
Works offline
All of the astronomy is calculated on your device. The almanac works with no signal — in the field, far from anywhere.
